As part of my role of Graphic Designer at BAFTA, I took on the experience design of the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet for their latest sponsor P&O Cruises. I was tasked with creating large print graphics for the various photography and press positions along the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall and to brand the guests journey along the red carpet on the Southbank in London.

After an original pitch deck full to the brim of my concepts for the carpet branding was approved by P&O Cruises and the wider BAFTA organisation, in collaboration with BAFTA's event producer and partnerships team. I created mock ups and final to-scale artworks to be sent to print. I was responsible for checking the quality of the graphics, providing final artwork, approving proofs and meeting guidelines set not only by BAFTA but by our award sponsor, P&O Cruises. There was no room for error, as installation was done on the day of the event, and so I needed to deliver high-quality and effective designs.

I also tied in the TV key art I had previously Illustrated, that had been used on the lead up to the event within our marketing campaign, balancing it with the Awards logo lock up, which I also designed and had approved at exec and stakeholder level prior to this.

To summarise, I designed window vinyl, step and repeat boards, photography and special access backdrops, totems, fencing and scrims, public pens and barriers, poster cover-up vinyl and a DJ Booth backdrop. It was hugely successful on the day, with BAFTA, the photography team and our sponsor happy with the design outcomes and press coverage achieved.
